M&M's Christmas Edition

This self-initiated project was a personal exploration in holiday packaging, reimagining one of my favourite sweets—M&M’s—through a festive lens. The goal was to capture the Christmas spirit in a way that felt both fancy and fun, balancing the joy and playfulness of the season with a sense of elegance. The main challenge was to create artwork that felt rich and expressive, while still sitting harmoniously behind the brand’s iconic characters and adapting to a real packaging format.
To bring this vision to life, I combined hand-drawn lettering with digital sketching, using bouncy baselines and a variety of type styles to reflect the season’s energy. A muted green and gold palette introduced a sophisticated tone, while sparkles, stars, and vertical stripes added layers of holiday magic and hinted at traditional wrapping paper. The final design strikes a balance between festive excitement and refined charm—an ideal tribute to the joy of giving (and snacking) at Christmas.
